Work Hours & Attendance
We comply with Bangladesh Labor Law regulations for working hours and attendance.
- Standard work week: Sunday to Thursday
- Weekly holidays: Friday and Saturday
- Maximum 8 hours per day (as per labor law)
- Maximum 48 hours per week (as per labor law)
- Prayer time off provided for daily prayers
- Punctuality is expected; notify supervisor if running late
- Managerial staff may have flexible arrangements as per company policy
Overtime Regulations
Overtime work is compensated according to Bangladesh Labor Law requirements.
- Maximum daily limit (including OT): 10 hours per day
- Maximum weekly limit (including OT): 60 hours per week
- Annual average weekly hours must not exceed 56 hours
- Overtime payment: 2x the ordinary rate (Basic Wage + Dearness Allowance)
- Overtime must be pre-approved by management
- Managerial staff may be exempt from fixed overtime provisions
Rest & Meal Breaks
Mandatory rest and meal breaks as required by labor law.
- For 5 hours of work: Minimum 30-minute break required
- For 6+ hours of work: Minimum 1-hour break required (or two 30-minute breaks)
- No worker shall work more than 6 hours continuously without at least a one-hour break
- Break times are paid and counted as work time

Dress Code
We maintain a professional yet comfortable dress code. All employees are expected to present a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
- Business casual attire is standard
- Clothing must be clean, neat, and professional
- Modest, loose-fitting attire is required
- Clothing that exposes the chest, midriff, thighs, or is otherwise inappropriate is not permitted
- Safety requirements must be strictly followed in technical or operational areas
- Formal business attire may be required for client-facing meetings
- The company respects religious and cultural practices
- Employees may wear religious attire, including head coverings such as hijab, if they choose
- No employee is required to wear or not wear any religious dress as a condition of employment
- Failure to comply may result in corrective action in line with company procedures
Salary & Compensation
Salary payment, increments, bonuses, and deductions as per Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006 and Income Tax Act, 2023.
- Payment Deadline: Salaries must be paid within 7 working days after the end of the month
- Payment Method: Electronic payment (bank transfer or MFS) required by law since July 2023
- On Termination: Final dues must be paid within 30 working days of last day
- Annual Increment: Mandatory minimum 5% of basic wage per year
- Festival Bonuses: 2 bonuses per year (after 1 year of service), each up to basic salary
- Overtime Payment: 2x the ordinary rate (Basic Wage + Dearness Allowance)
- Legal Deductions: Income Tax (TDS), Provident Fund (7-8%), absence, or damage (with inquiry)
- Maximum Deductions: Cannot exceed 50% of total wages per month (except absence/housing)
- Tax Threshold: 350,000 BDT per year (men), 400,000 BDT (women/senior citizens)

Leave & Time Off
We comply with Bangladesh Labor Law leave provisions for all employees.
- Sick Leave: 14 days per year with full wages (medical certificate required, cannot be carried forward)
- Casual Leave: 10 days per year with full wages for urgent personal matters (cannot be carried forward)
- Annual Leave: 1 day earned per 18 days worked, can be carried forward (up to 40-60 days), encashable upon separation
- Festival Holidays: Minimum 11 paid festival holidays per year
- Working on Festival Holiday: If required to work, employee receives 2 compensatory holidays with full pay plus substitute holiday
- Maternity/Paternity leave as per labor law
- Leave requests should be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance

Technology & Equipment
Guidelines for using company technology and equipment responsibly.
- Company equipment is for business use only
- Personal devices may be used with IT department approval
- All software must be approved and licensed
- Regular backups and security updates are mandatory
- Report any technical issues to IT support immediately
Online Meetings
Guidelines for professional conduct during virtual meetings.
- Maintain professional appearance and appropriate background during video calls
- Dress code applies to online meetings as per workplace dress code policy
- Use appropriate meeting backgrounds or blur feature when necessary
- Join meetings on time and notify in advance if running late
- Mute microphone when not speaking to reduce background noise
- Ensure good lighting and clear audio quality
- Respect meeting privacy and confidentiality
- Record meetings only with explicit consent from all participants
- Report any inappropriate behavior during online meetings immediately
Health & Safety
We prioritize the health and safety of all employees.
- Smoking is prohibited in all office areas
- Follow all safety protocols in technical and production areas
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately
- First aid kits available in designated areas
- Emergency evacuation procedures must be followed
Special Provisions for Women
Additional protections for female employees as per labor law.
- No late work hours for female employees
- Night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) require explicit written consent
- If consenting to night work, employer must provide safe transport
